But that was the only good thing. I thought that there was no light in the bathroom but I later figured out that it was just the bulb. I paid for this through Priceline and the first thing that I was asked on check in was how I like to pay for the room. The room itself was nicer than... More

Great value. Very affordable, clean & spacious room. Has a great Wifi connection, and the staff is very friendly.Very quiet laid back atmosphere. Loved the in-room coffee maker and micro-fridge. Restaurant right across from the hotel had great food.

Truly, the dirtiest, worst place we ever stayed. And we've been around a lot! We were in a hurry and got fooled by the picture. Big mistake that we did not check any reviews because they would scare us away... The sheets were not clean, the rooms were full of dust and spider webs and the smell was terrible.

This is the dirtiest, most disgusting hotel that I have ever stayed in. The photographs speak for themselves. There were a number of DEAD bugs all over the floor in the room -- obvious that the room had not been vacuumed in a long time. The matress was duct-taped together and there were yellow stains on the bedsheet. And the... More

While the setting and price ($67 for one night/2 people) were acceptable, the water did not drain in the sink or tub. Enjoy standing in your own dirty shower water while you shower? We didn't! When we checked out and reported the problems, left our phone number and requested at least a partial refund...our complaints went no where. We were... More

We were nervous, yes, but we found the owners very pleasant and extremely earnest in their desire to be accommodating to our bike group just off the C&O. The rooms at this 50's style motel are surprisingly large, rustic, and the bathrooms were modernized with new fixtures. The outside of the main house does need to address its old awnings-but... More

Traveling the canal bike path with 3 brothers, we were regaled with nightmarish stories of what a hole this place was. Bugs, mold, dirt, vampires, bats...we heard it all. In fact, I was ready to bike another 30 miles down the trail in search of better lodging, but the old guys I was traveling with (50 yr. olds -the horror,... More

Read the title...it says it all. Moldy, smokey. And the manager is super rude. I was biking the C&O canal and just wanted a place to stay. Would have been better to sleep in the mud...it would be cleaner. there are 2 nice bed and breakfasts in town..callec up and went there. Took almost an hour to get stuff back... More

My wife and myself unexpectedly stayed at this hotel because of a power outage from storms at the campground we normally camp at in Hancock and due to the fact that it was the middle of a heat wave. We showed up at 10 pm at night without a reservation and they told us they only had rooms left in... More

I selected this hotel based on the chain's promotional information on its website, however, I felt very mislead. The photos are not representative of the lodging. This is a run-down, roadside motor inn and the rooms are hidden behind the main house. The house, as well as the motel rooms behind the house, were very run down. This is despite... More
