I'll start here since it was my first trip of the year. I'm a frequent business traveler so thought I'd review each hotel i stay at this year for others to benefit. This was a nice Hampton Inn, although I was a bit put off when I checked in due to the remodeling taking place. This was not at all... More

I start out my reviews with 4-stars. Something that really wows me or I've never seen before gets the fifth. Something that needs improving goes the other way. I say that, because this is a really nice, clean and friendly Hampton Inn. Nothing wrong with it at all...except the location. It is in small town USA which is fine but... More

Who would have thought this was a Hampton Inn. Typically when traveling, you'd expect the no frills standard room at the same cost as everything else. This hotel was either new and decorated beyond current standards and not much above the low budget rate. It was like living in a luxury NYC apartment building. Everything was efficient, immaculate, and with... More

We stayed here one Sunday night and found it to be one of the better Hampton Inns. The decor looked newish and the flat-screen TVs are new, so I think it has been recently renovated. It is very clean, and the bedding was comfortable. Breakfast was the typical Hampton Inn selections and the dining are is large enough for comfortable... More

We needed a place nearby to U of Delaware and over toward Philly the next day for college tours. This was a good hampton, a little outdated, but not run down. Very clean, very pleasantly tucked away in a safe location. More

The hotel looked nice form the outside but don't let that fool you! I checked in late and the lady at the front desk was rude and nasty! The lady gave me no direction after walking around on what I thouth was the first floor, later found out there 1st floor was down one and when I got to my... More

We stopped here on our way home from a trip down south. Stop was random, but chose the Hampton because of the chain reputation. The room was perfect, exceptionally clean, modern, flatscreen TV with HBO. Quiet, far enough off the highway. However, breakfast in the morning was terrible. Scrambled eggs with turkey sausage, both very dry. Muffins, bagels were not... More

We stayed here for a night traveling from SC to CT. O.k.hotel, a bit dated....older tv's, the receptionist said they will be getting flat screens soon-which is good. Sort of a strange hotel-looks nice from outside...receptionist stated the main floor you walk into is actually the 2nd floor...while the 1st floor is in the basement-strange- Ceiling was very high-we stayed... I traveled with my mother to Chesapeake City, MD for Canal Day and to visit relative. I have never been to the area and turned to trip advisor to find the most comfortable accommodations in the area. The choices were slim, and I was reluctant after staying in a luxurious boutique hotel in Philadelphia the night before (I'm a self... More

A waiter at a nearby restaurant told us to avoid the Knights Inn in Elkton because it was a haven for prostitutes and it was infested with roaches. Apparently Elkton is a major trucking center and the hookers congregate there. That being said, we didn't see any suspicious activity ourselves and we found the Hampton Inn to be clean and... More
