The Blue Max is one of two B&Bs in Chesapeake City. The Inn is nicely decorated in a sort of Victorian style. Many such establishments also have limited facilities, but the bathrooms were up to date and there are modern TVs in the rooms. Breakfast is served (OK filling) and there is tea in the afternoon with some sort of... More

This was our first time staying at a B&B. The room (Conrey) had a very charming Victorian decor. The bed was quite comfortable. Wireless worked well. The TV was small and only showed a few stations. Breakfast was fruit, a toasted muffin, and an entree which changed each day. The inn is located in the middle of the historic section.... More

We just spent Presidents Day weekend at The Blue Max. Every room is beautifully decorated by Christine, the gracious inkeeper. Our bed was very comfortable with soft sheets and there was plenty of hot water. We found several chocolate treats in our room and the afternoon tea and bakery items were a nice touch. Breakfast in the sun room overlooking... More

Down for a few days of hiking on the C&D canal. This was a perfect location for us. The rooms were great, breakfasts were delicious and coming back in the late afternoon to regroup over tea/soda and cookies made our day. The whole house Wifi was an added bonus. Chesapeake City is very cute with neat shops and several good... More

What a wonderful getaway for a long weekend. The Inn is very clean, the hosts polite and the breakfasts were made fresh eat morning. Warm cinnamon muffins, eggs benedict, fresh fruit and fresh squeezed orange juice were just some of the delights each morning. There was coffee or hot tea and cookies throughout the day as well and a small... More

This is a wonderful bed and breakfast walking distance to all shops and restaurants in Chesapeake City. The room was nicely decorated and we had a private bath. The highlight for us was the wrap around porch (2nd level) off of our room. We could sit on the porch at any time and enjoy the cool breezes and have a... More

Truly enjoyed our ONE night stay in the The BLUE MAX INN as well as walking the shopping district of Chesapeake City. The RANDALL Room we had was on the 2nd floor and was lovely & spacious. The assigned private bath for this room was a short walk down the hall - love the gylcerin soaps & thick towels. The... More

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending our 38th wedding anniversary at the Blue Max. From the moment we step into this charming B&B we felt right at home! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts were delicious; and the room was very comfortable and charming. Since Chesapeake City is such a tiny little haven, the... More

I called to get information on the place and the woman I had talked to was just rude. She said not interested and hung up the phone. WOW what a way to run a business. I was looking into see a fee for all the rooms. But I guess I will not be staying here. How can you not be... More
