I generally agree with most of the other comments, but felt that the experience was more akin to an AirBnB experience than a traditional B&B experience. In other words, it felt more like a clean, comfortable place to crash for a night, rather than a special getaway. Likes: Bev's warm and generous personality, spacious bedroom, and super clean home. Dislikes:... More

Normally we would not respond to a review, but thought this particular one deserved a response. While many places might be a good place to “crash” for a night with little expected in return, we offer quite a bit more for people who are looking for a quiet, clean, relaxing place to stay and top it off with a full... The above title is on a mat in the guest bedroom where we stayed, and it speaks volumes as to how we were treated by Bev and Frank. We can't say enough about them and their hospitality and helpfulness. The weather on the day of our trip from PA was horrendous with heavy rain and wind, and it included an... More

If you are visiting the Damariscotta, Boothbay Harbor, and Wiscasset area of central Maine this is the place to stay. Bev and Frank are gracious hosts. Our room was spotless and tastefully decorated. It looked out on a pristine backyard surrounded on one side by apple trees. The breakfasts were delicious (ask for the Amish Pancakes) and served in a... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Our hosts were two of the friendliest people we've ever met. The beds were very comfortable, the location was convenient to town, the gropunds were beautiful, and the breakfast was amazing, We will definitely stay there again, and will recommend it to others without hesitation. I stayed here with some family and we all had a great time. The breakfasts were delicious and they even accommodated for a vegan in our group. The rooms were very comfortable and the location is perfect for getting to places like Boothbay Harbor or Freeport without being stuck in the hustle and bustle of those cities. The innkeepers are... While close to the town of Wiscasset this was a good "get-a-way" from the traffic of Route 1 with superb breakfasts and congenial hospitality. A very relaxing way to ease into the country life and enjoy Frank and Bev's company or just absorb the back yard and the quiet view of the rolling hill and plantings they are working on... More

We stayed at Tall Pines during our tour of New England recently. Bev and Frank are wonderfully friendly and welcoming hosts. Their home was spotless and immensely homely. The breakfasts, delicious. My parnter could not eat wheat and they went to the trouble of providing him with wheat free bread as part of his breakfast. You do not get this... More

The house and rooms are impeccably decorated with charm in every corner. The hosts, Frank and Bev, made us feel like we belonged there. They have infused their own Pennsylvania culture into the B&B, which makes everything feel real, without a hint of pretense. We enjoyed our stay. More
