Stayed at Tallwood for one night in peak season. Rate of $89 for 2 beds seemed decent. Definitely no more than 2*s. We just got home this morning from our stay at Tallwood. The staff/owner was super friendly. We had a reservation for a non-smoking king room and before we arrived, there was a problem with the water. They tried to contact us, and we had already left home. When we got there, they explained the problem and offered us two choices... more
Ok for the price, but nothing to write home about. Would I stay there again? I'm not sure. My main complaint was there was only one set of curtains in the window (no shades) and some of the hooks to hold them on were broken, which made them droop at the top and not completely meet in the middle. We just returned from the Tallwood and had a great experience. Upon check in our room was ready early. The owner Adeel was nothing but accomadating. Just got back from having spent one night at the Tallwood Motel on our way to Cape Cod. Were very apprehensive because of the reviews, but booked there anyway as the Tallwood had been recommended by friends of ours who have stayed there four times... and so glad we did! First of all, let me say the pool was fine. I have probably stayed at 20 different motels in Wells/Ogunquit and this one was one of the less desirable. The rooms were OK but only OK. This place was inexpensive & the room was clean. My problem with it was the carpeting & the overall environs. Your typical roadside motel-ordinary, lackluster grounds.
