My husband and I spent 3 delightful nights at the Black Lantern. Tom and Judy were delightful hosts. Our room was charming, quiet, and great value. We do not usually stay in B&Bs but this one was excellent. Rooms were spacious, clean and well-appointed and ours had a lovely view of the lawns leading down to the river. The hosts were very helpful with suggestions of places to visit and places to eat which we would never have found without their advice. The breakfasts were home-cooked... more

This is a nice, comfortable b&b with well sized, clean rooms. The common areas are also lovely including a cozy front porch and a back lawn leading to the river. The innkeepers are very hospitable and they provide a generous, tasty breakfast and willingly answer any questions about dinner suggestions or area highlights. Definitely a nice place to stay. more

We enjoyed our stay at the black lantern while on a business trip last month. The rooms were very nice and the innkeepers were top notch, friendly and warm and welcoming. We had a lovely time relaxing at the Black Lantern. I should first mention the impressive breakfasts; the first morning we had a popover type of pastry filled with fresh berries and cream, a quarter of melon, and a small omelette. I was always comfortable and felt welcome while at the Black Lantern Bed and Breakfast.
