On a business trip to Rockland Maine, hotels are not very numerous, especially in February. Thomaston was the closest I found and am glad. This Hampton Inn has a special fondness for Coast Guard members and shows it. Great rate, great room, and great variety of free breakfast items.

I reserved a non-smoking room, and was given a smoking room. No attempt was made to resolve the issue. They told me that "they could not assure the accuracy of reservations made on-line", What??? Then why offer on-line registration? I was not offered a discount or refund despite their supposed satisfaction guarantee and 100% refund policy.

Stayed at the Hampton Inn 5 times now- great experience each time. I definitely recommend. The breakfast is wonderful, the rooms are very comfortable and clean and the staff pleasant. Will certainly be visiting again.

The hotel is well maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful. It has all the amenities you would hope for in a hotel. It is conveniently located next to an Applebee's, multiplex cinema and a local ice cream shop (only open in the summer).

From the moment I checked in until I left, I felt welcomed and like I was at "home". Annie at the front desk was extremely helpful in getting me a room near my friends and family. I would definitely stay again
