We selected this B&B because of its attractive, well-organized website and proximity to several towns on the Maine coast, without being in the more congested areas. We were pleased that the couple who own and manage the house could accommodate our vegetarian diet. The historic Watchtide - by the sea Inn is very comfortable and has many interesting and unique furnishings. The hosts make you very comfortable and then disappear to allow you privacy. The room we stayed in was immaculate and furnished with antique quilts, very nice art work, lush bathrobes, and a private bathroom that was modern. Our king sized bed... more

We found Watchtide by the Sea on B&B.com. We had a great time. There are new owners who are gradually updating the very large building. The sun porch, a large, sunny room where breakfast is served, was wonderful--furnished with a variety of chairs, sofas, and a wicker lounge that was my favorite.
