beautiful getaway in residential area, block away from beach, surfing. quiet, serene, amazing. it has everything a b&b should- adorable golden retriever, nice staff, adorable rooms. clean and perfect.

Just loved this beach although small in size it more than made up for its size, this jewel has been hiding from me didn't even know it was there. I would definately go back again next year. The Higgins Beach Inn is a truly unique place to stay. The inn is very old and rooms are decorated with very old furniture. Great food--Personal Service--Go with whatever the Chef recommends. Coastal style Inn with a nice lounge and a great restaurant. Special requests--no problem. Make a weekend of it with that special other and enjoy a slice of heaven. Can't wait to go back.

We come here every year. We have family in nearby South Portland, but this is by far our favorite place to stay. The rooms are all wonderful, even the ones with shared bathrooms. And the restaurant is fantastic, too! Don't forget to borrow the boogie-boards when you head for the beach (which is just down the street).
