This is not a super-luxurious resort and the furniture and fixturesare getting a little old. That being said, it's well-maintained and I certainly did not lack for any conveniences. We stayed in a deluxe ocean view suite. While exspensive it suited our needs - traveling with a 2 1/2 year old. You enter an alcove area, if you go left it was a large bedroom (2 queens) w/seperate bath (walk in shower, soaking tub). We enjoyed a large room (for large price) with balcony-ette, and decent ocean view, but also a great view of other rooms and visitors. Nice area between the wings where families can sit in quaint chairs and broadcast their conversations to all the balconies. Stayed here for 2 nights after spending 2 nights at Bar Harbor Inn up the coast. Quiet, remote location (actually, the closest neighboring property is a cemetery) extending out into the bay. The nickname "Pebble Beach of the East" is fairly well-deserved, tho this is a protected bay and not open ocean water. Very good golf course and decent pool.... more
