.........Went there for dinner last friday (5-31-13) we enjoyed the rustic atmosphere and the food was very well prepared, delicious and served in a timely manner, which was much appreciated considering that some of the other establishments we went to in the area were sub par. Our experience at the lodge was enjoyable except for one small detail. One of... More

We traveled 3 weeks through New England. The stay at Loon Lodge was one of the most impressive. Beautiful surrounding and nearly perfect service. The house is blockhouse style. The rooms are large. Separate WC/bath surprises but fits very well to the atmosphere of the lodge. Restaurant is very good, but not open daily.

It's a beautiful old building with lots of character and tt's very clean and cozy. The food is very good but pricey. The cost of the rooms are very competitive. The only downfall is the lack of sound proofing. You can literally hear someone whispering in the next room. I stayed in the Saddleback and thought it was lovely. Just... More

My wife and I have made Loon Lodge our first choice when it comes to enjoying the Great State of Maine. Here at the Lodge you can experience the rustic nature of a real lodge by staying in the upper rooms or if you are more accustom to modern accommodations I recommend choosing the Lakeside Rooms on the lower level.... The food and our experience in the pub was good, however the room we stayed in had an extremely uncomfortable bed with terrible pillows. The shower was one of the worst showers I have ever used. Very noisy rooms, we could hear music and the conversations that the kitchen staff was having late into the night from our room. In... More

We drove up to Rangely on a Saturday. Had reservations at Loon Lodge. We chose Inn because of proximity to Saddleback skiing (were skiing on Sunday Maine Day $29 lift tickets). Rustic large log cabin- checked in to our room an hour early. The GM, Beth, who was at desk quickly took my credit card, though was not friendly, She... More

We had a wonderful time again at the lodge. The accommodations were perfect and we did almost 600 miles of snowmobile riding. We saw amazing landscapes, moose and deer. We ended up eating every dinner at the lodge, which we hadn’t planned on, but the food and service were so good we didn’t feel like leaving. Thank you again for... More

We celebrated my birthday with a weekend at the Loon Lodge with friends and our grown sons. We loved the charm of the old log cabin lodge. Cozy room and beautiful views of the lake. Enjoyed spending time in the lobby by the big stone fireplace. Had an excellent dinner on Saturday night. Everyone that works there was friendly and... More

Our room was small but cute and clean. Very nice location. I'd go again. We brought our own snacks so didn't eat there but did have a drink in the bar area. Great little beach and great views. Nice place to go to get away from it all

We very much enjoyed our three nights at the rustic Loon Lodge over the Christmas holidays. Our room was clean, cozy and well-appointed. The mini-fridge was a nice plus. Everything was in working order. Plenty of hot water and pressure in the shower. Thirsty towels. We had a marvelous afternoon sitting on the couches in front of the fire, reading... More
