We stayed at teh Old Colonial for a long weekend with 3 children, one being an infant! The location couldnt be better! You litterallt walk out to the parking lot and onto the beach! This was a very nice hotel. I was travelling with my 9 year old daughter and our dog. We had a great time. Rooms were very clean, no closets but we made it work. Great location and would defiately go again. more

we wanted a fully functioning kitchen, and a good location in regard to beach proximity, and walking distance to attractions. we were only disappointed on 1 count. the kitchen area was very small just a 2 burner stove/shallow sink/bar fridge combo unit .... small microwave. not much room to make a meal for a family, which we needed to do.... more

Our 4th trip to Old Orchard, each time the family's a bit older. No big complaints about the Old Colonial. We've learned not to expect too much from beach-front hotels. Pros-on the ocean w/ ocean view (in CERTAIN rooms) cons-when i called to book the woman i spoke to told me she "thought" that she could get me 10% off on the room...when i called back to book,and spoke to the same person, she informed me that she made a mistake. This hotel has pros and cons. Pros : On the beach, Pet friendly, broom clean,friendly staff, cute office dog, hot tub,pool and free use of grill.
