We spent one night at the Dunes. We stayed in one of the motel units and we did have issues with the room. The walls are thin and noise was a problem so we wouldn't recomend staying in one of the motel units. That said the room was very clean. From the outside the cottages looked very appealing. Most importantly... more

Enjoyed our stay. Grounds were pristine and well kept. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. John, one of the staff members on the golf cart, was absolutely wonderful. We will try to make it annual tradition. Long trip from Calif. but well worth it. more

The dunes is the kind of place you almost don't want to write a review for so others don't discover it. I traveled with my husband and two young children and the Dunes was perfect. I would describe myself as relatively picky and I was delighted with our stay. We were only booking a partial week and stayed in one... more

Stayed in motel rooms piece of resort (least expensive) - rooms were good, not exceptional - a little twee but as expected to be honest - the walls were a little thin - could hear TV noise and chatter from next room. However, everything else about the Dunes was great - location outside town was nice and grounds were super... more

My mom and I visited for a few days so she could have a vacation. The staff was friendly, the setting lovely and the accommodations very nice. The pool was the perfect temperature and a nice place to chat with other guests. The Dunes has the feel of an old fashioned getaway. If you want a plethora of planned activities,... more

I thought the advertizing was a little deceptive. There were no water views from our room. This would be a great place for families, but not couples! The pool is very small, and there is no beach access unless you take a row boat. Also, you need to take the trolley to get anywhere. The room was clean, but drab.... more

We stayed at Dunes on the Waterfront for 3 nights in May as part of a holiday in New England. And what a place it is - highly recommended to anyone who is visiting the area. For some reason the resort advertises itself as a motel, but that does it a disservice - it's significantly better than any motel I've... more

My first time on the coast of maine, and I stayed at the Dunes. At first I was a bit taken by the way it is set up and how it reminded me of the 50's. but with newer tv's and a great view i quickly lost thought of my suroundings in my room and focused more on the amazing... more

We stayed 2 nights for the Maine Coast 1/2 Marathon in mid-September. The Dunes is even more charming in person than their website shows. We weren't there long enough to rent a cottage, but had the 2-bedroom suite. It was only a couple of blocks from the very busy heart of Ogunquit, but was a world away with only the... more

We stayed three nights in September from Thursday to Sunday in one of the guest rooms ($115.00 per nite) because the cottages were all booked. Our second floor room faced the ocean and had a lovely porch to sit on. The room itself was very pretty and clean. The shower/toilet room was very small with barely any room to dry... more
