My husband and I visit Kennebunkport many times but this was the 1st time we stayed at the Captain Lord Mansion. I can not say enough about the service the breakfast and the all around friendly family feeling that you get from Rick and his staff. We had the Harvest room corner location 3rd floor, large, bright and just a great... More

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our fifth anniversary. We found it through tripadvisor, and it lived up to the reviews. The inn and its setting were beautiful, the room perfect, the service exceptional and the food delicious. Innkeepers Bev and Rick run the mansion like the hosts of an elegant and relaxed cocktail party with a parade... More

My husband and I stayed at the Captain Lord for our anniversary. We decided to go very last minute, and we had a wonderful time. It is a larger-sized B&B with all the cozy decor you might hope for. It was charming and we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. I loved the coffee maker which is available 24 hrs a day!... More

Captain Lord Mansion offers period antiques and reproductions by Leonards Antiques of Seekonk, Mass. The bathrooms have jetted tubs and heated marble floors. There are gas fireplaces in each bedroom for warmth and romance. Sue is the breakfast cook along with a very capable staff. The souffles are amazing, the Belgian waffles are decadant (in a good way) and the... More

In 1979 we spent our honeymoon at the Captain Lord Mansion, we returned on our anniversary for the next ten years, then kids and life got in the way. We returned this May after too many years and it was like being home. The improvements they made have only enhanced the experience which was perfect before. The Inn is like... More

My wife and i spent a week touring Maine. We spent two nights at the Captain Lord Mansion and fell in love with the B&B. The owner met us at the front door. We were immediately treated like family. We stayed in the Ophelia room which was perfect with a beautiful queen bed, a gas fireplace and lots of windows.... More

My husband and I have stayed in many B&Bs in different states and have never had a more wonderful experience. The rooms were beautiful. The grounds were beautiful. The breakfasts were amazing. The staff members could not have been nicer. It felt like they created a magical place where my husband and I could relax and reconnect. It broke our... More

I just don't know where to start because we had the best experience and I would like to be sure to include all of it! We went for Mother's Day weekend which was wonderful because it was 'stay two nights and get Mother's Day free.' We didn't think we would be able to take advantage of the free night but... More

My wife and I stayed at the Captain Lord Mansion for our 5 year anniversary. With a 2 year old daughter and another baby on the way, we needed a place that we could go and just share some time together as a couple rather than as "Mom and Dad". The Captain Lord Mansion was perfect! The amenities were better... More

Staying at the Captain Lord Mansion was everything that we expected it to be and more. It was absolutely beautiful, relaxing, and comfortable. We really didn't want to leave. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and very "homey", yet elegant. The beds have incredible sheets and comforters, the shower (with 6 shower heads) was a dream, the fireplace in the room... More

Dear Westbrook Maine, Thank you for your very thorough and thoughtful review of our inn. You touch on many areas of a guest experience that we believe set us apart from other lodging choices in the Kennebunks. Because Bev and I have been innkeepers for such a long time, we are especially heartened that younger guests are discovering the Captain... More
