Stayed here in early December in the riverside building in a king bedded room with porch overlooking the river. Couldn't believe that this place, which is owned by the same people who own the White Barn Inn, had:.......no in-room safe....no in-room coffee maker----very slippery tile at room entrance and bathroom...be careful (my wife slipped). No coffee, tea, cookies, etc. at... More

My husband and I stayed here recently for our first visit to Maine coast It was mid -October and we were surprised how unoccupied the hotel was for a spa hotel but we were happy to be there. We enjoyed the continental breakfast and the quaint town and surroundings. The hotel lobby was set up more as a spa entrance,... More

Loved the Breakwater and surrounding Kenebunkport. Cocktails on the lawn before dinner as the sun set was beautiful. Breakfast was good, but never had dinner in the restaurant, so can't comment on that. Our room in the mail building was lovely. Nice walk into town. Staff very helpful and friendly.

We debated between staying here or at the Cape Arundel Inn, and decided on the Breakwater because it was a little closer to town. What's also nice is that it has a small, rocky beach in front, and easy access to a nearby sandy beach. The view from our third floor Spa room was excellent, allowing us to see the... More

My wife and I just returned to the Breakwater Inn and Spa for the second time. This place is one of the best getaways. The property is perfectly maintained, the rooms are luxurious, the staff are all cheerful and helpful, the restaurant Stripers is amazing, and the Spa is 5 stars. This place is the perfect getaway that's the complete... More

We just got home from 2 nights at this hotel. It was a great getaway. The staff was very nice, helpful and efficient. We stayed in the main hotel on the 3rd floor in room 6 which was spacious in both the room and more so in the bathroom. It was plainly decorated but that was my only con. There... More

I chose this hotel because we previously stayed there 8 years ago. The breakfast is great, best coffee I have had in years. It's a buffet style breakfast with fresh fruits, muffins, bread, eggs, cereals. I loved to sit on the adirondack chairs at the end of the day with wine just watching the fisherman on their boats come in.... More

We had a very spacious room. It was an older building and when the air conditioning turned on and off there was a very loud bang. The bathroom tile was a bit on the moldy side. Otherwise, it was nicely appointed in a nice, scenic area. The linens were nice but it was hard to relax with the air conditioning... More

To give you a little background, I was looking for a modern hotel with a restaurant, bar, walking distance to downtown, waterviews and a patio. I do believe I picked the best property in Kennebunkport based on that criteria and am overall pleased; however, there are some opportunities for improvement. I am also including observations on other properties in the... More

Lovely view from our third floor riverside building room. Very clean and attractive room. Staff extremely nice and helpful. Also had a nice time sitting on the lawn drinking wine watching the river go by. Would recommend to friends.
