My husband and I just spent a Saturday night in the "Lookout" room at this lovely property. The meticulous room had a queen size, four poster bed covered in fluffy comforters, a gas fireplace, skylights, a good size bath with Jacuzzi tub, and a deck overlooking the water. The owners make you feel right at home and share a large... More

In mid-June we held our wedding at the Harpswell Inn and it was a great experience. The owners, Dick and Anne, were incredibly patient and accommodating while we were making plans for the weekend. The facilities were perfect for what we envisioned for a coast of Maine wedding. We had our wedding party stay in the rooms of the Inn.... More

The inn is a terrific mix of welcoming public areas and thoughtfully appointed guestrooms. Breakfast was a treat. We stayed in Longfellow which does have a private but not ensuite bath; this was not an issue for my party and is quite common traditional inns. A honeymoon couple might prefer the first floor suite to a bath in the hall.... More

My wife and I stayed in early June and were disappointed in some respects. First, the entrance road is less than attractive and does not accurately reflect a Maine ocean side landscape. Only one room offers 2 beds and that one offers a bath that is down the hall. It is for the use of that room only. The Inn... More

Spent a delightful four days relaxing at the Inn. Spacious accommodations complete with gas fireplace to take the chill off end-of-winter evenings. Scrumptious breakfast, homemade to order!

My boyfriend and I make the trip to the Harpswell Inn at least twice a year and couldn't be happier with the Harpswell Inn. We spend a week in July and enjoy all the summer activities that Maine and the Harpswell Inn has to offer. After spending a long day hiking at one of the many trails in and around... More

The suite and its view were FABULOUS....but the Host was a puzzle. After friendly emails prior to arrival....his lack of hospitality for the 1st 3 days was puzzling. We don't require much..but a friendly "hello" as we arrived and at breakfast would have been nice. After all...running a B & B seems to almost require Some Hospitality??? But...when we left... More

The Man-Friend and I hit the road on a hot, breezy Saturday and made our way up 95 from Boston to Freeport, Maine for a little LL Bean, and a little chillaxing. Maine is so pretty, and Freeport was hardly crowded June 19, probably because the full summer crowd wasn't in the state yet, and it was also such a... More

Had a horrrible experience , the breakfast was nothing to write home about, and the rooms were uncomfortable, would never go back, the owner was grumpy and rude.

Could not ask for more.... Great food, beautiful scenery, friendly service and the most relaxing vacation I have ever experienced. Can't wait to go back for another escape.
