Wonderful place to retreat from the winter world. Excellent accommodations, terrific services, and wonderful homemade breakfasts, all with spectacular views of Maine's largest lake. Only drawback is that the inn does not do dinners during the winter months and Greenville's "hotspots" are closed up. Otherwise, an excellent place to get away from it all, read a good book, or watch... More

We found this to be a very European flavored inn...and it seems many different types of people were staying there....a group of Germans, Orientals....We liked it as we have traveled the world and felt it was comfortable and well run. Dinner was excellent with a warm, upscale atmosphere...Our Server was very caring. Our room was lovely with fireplace. Prices were... More

What a wonderful surprise ~ this Inn was just beautiful. We stayed in one of the cottages up on the hill. The view was amazing ~ very peaceful. They started us off each day with a delicious breakfast. There evening meal menu was exquisite. A sea plane ride over Moosehead Lake is a must!! More

Reservations: easy online. Check-in: efficient and accurate Room: spacious, a little over-the-top with the Victorian furnishings and red decor. Very hard mattress. Very hard and uncomfortable pillows. Nice flatscreen TV. Large beautiful bathroom with luxurious towels and excellent bath products. Free breakfast: pleasant but not outstanding. Internet: free and good in main house. No reception in outer guest buildings/rooms. Check-out:... More

This inn was very well run. The owners were highly solicitous and the rooms were very comfortable and well decorated. The views from the inn were spectacular and the weather was great. Moosehead Lake is one of the wonders of Maine. More

We spent four nights at the Greenville Inn and enjoyed the hospitality of the hosts, who have decorated the common rooms with family pictures, which adds a nice touch to the authentic look and feel of the place. We took the duplex Shaw Suite, three rooms, two bathrooms, although one a bit smaller, and enjoyed clean comfortable and well-maintained rooms.... More

We stayed in the cabins behind the main house. I really liked staying there. They seem to be new, private and very roomy. We had a great view of the mountains outside of our cabin. Breakfast was great. The Greenville Inn is in walking distance to town. You do have to walk up a hill to get back to the... More

We had a pleasant stay at the Greenville Inn. This is a large Victorian-era mansion on a hill overlooking the town of Greenville, with a variety of room sizes and types. There are several sitting rooms on the main floor filled with antiques, a spacious dining room with views of the town, and a wraparound porch. Our hosts were helpful,... More

My family and I stayed at the Greenville Inn for two nights this week while traveling in Maine. We stayed in the "Carriage House Suite" which was perfect for two parents and two kids, as it had two beds (separated by a wall) and a sleeper sofa. The room had a cottage feel to it and was very well decorated.... More
