We were a family of 4 travelling around New England and found Kendall Tavern was a great little B&B that we remember fondly. The room at the top of the stairs was tiny, but by this stage of our holiday we were very used to living in each others' pocket so it didn't bother us too much. It was comfortable... More

The Kendall Tavern is conveniently located in Freeport. It is a classic old building. The staff is all wonderful and the breakfast/snack selection is very extensive. Definitely a place to stay at if I'm ever going to be in the area again.

A very nice B&B for travel and stay in Freeport. Close to shopping and Rt 95. Innkeeper was very pleasant and a great cook!

I stayed here for almost two weeks while in Maine on business and the owner, Tim, could not have been more hospitable to me. He was always available to advise me on local resources, help me with printing / internet etc. They provide a delicious breakfast, cooked to order, as well as homemade muffins and snacks throughout the day. I... More

This is a beautiful comfortable cozy home that you don't want to leave. The hospitality is incomparable, the food exquisite, the hosts unforgetable.. You don't stay in Kendall Tavern because you came to FReeport. You come to Freeport so you can stay in Kendall Tavern. Barb from Texas Autumn 2009

Spent one night in room 1. Tim, the innkeeper, could not have been more hospitible. I felt like I had come visit an old family member. He helped us check in and after we came back from dinner around 10pm he sat up and talked with us for about 30 minutes. He shared alot about himself, how he became an... More

We drove from Montréal to Maine to explore. We decide to stay in Freeport and chose the Kendall Tavern Bed and Breakfast. This choice was a good decision. The place was clean and cozy. The rooms were cute and ours was big (room number 7). The owners were doing everything to make our stay memorable. It was a nice place... More

My Husband and I are a young couple in our late 20's. Not a place for us at all. The room was small and cold and the bed was not comfortable. I felt more like I was at a hotel then a B&B. Sorry...

Reading all of these wonderful reviews it makes me wonder if anyone has ever stayed in a B&B before. Though the place is nice, the room we stayed in was small and devoid of absolutely ALL character and charm - which is the precise reason one goes to a B&B! It was just a bed in a room. There was...
