Owner was very nice and room was clean, bed comfortable. In need of some serious updating and revamping. Heater worked great but was noisy. Quiet location. Would recommend if just need a cheap room to sleep in. Don't expect anything fancy! more

We arrived at the Homestead late (9:30 PM or so) and had to wait in the "office" (the back porch of their home) for minutes before someone came out to check us in. Nice quiet location about 30 min. from Acadia Nat'l Park. Pictures on website do not give this motel justice! Lovely couple in charge. Room was a bit dated but roomy and scrupulously clean with comfortable bed. Only complaint was the heating system could be either on or off, but ceiling fan in room.
