Sometimes you just feel at home in a place or with people who own and run a small family establishment. Timbercliff is such a place and Dave and Karen are wonderful people. They have a quaint old Maine "mansion" in which they have tucked away about 6-8 cozy bedrooms/small suites. Terrific. But the best part is meeting and having them... More

Thank you for the great review. Having you stay with us was a wonderful way for us to begin the new season on the beautiful Maine coast. You are the reason we love being innkeepers. More

We loved our stay at the Timbercliff. The Inn is beautiful, with inviting and comfortable furnishings. It was great to have tea and coffee available at all times along with snacks, including Karen's homemade cookies. Our room, Chauncy Keep, was very spacious with a fireplace and sitting area and a nice view of the water. Dave and Karen offer a... More

This is the 3rd year in a row my husband and I have stayed at Timbercliffe, and we love it more each time! Coming back this October felt like we were coming to our second home. The view from the front porch, and several of the guest rooms is beyond beautiful! I could just sit of the porch and admire... More

We stayed in Camden for one night. The common areas of Timbercliffe are very comfortable, and decorated with attention to detail, as were the rooms. We very much enjoyed our breakfast served in the dining room...quite a gourmet delight! Though the innkeepers have attempted to create an inn that is 'true to period', my only criticism would be the rooms... More

This inn is beautifully decoarated, very clean, very comfortable and is in a great location (just north of town). Three things set it apart -- (1) the exceptionally kind owners who clearly are in this business as a labor of love,(2) the very warm and cozy common areas (they had a fire going in the front room, and they have... Thank you so much for your great review. Our bed and breakfast, being some 200 plus years old, was decorated with authentic colonial period details. From the paint colors to the furnishing/lighting we attempted to keep it true to this period of time in Early American history. We are definitely not your cookie cutter chain motel. We truly want all... More

Simply wonderful! That summarizes it all. An enveloping experience that starts before it starts! Dave kindness started before I booked - and that was actually one of the reasons why I booked the Timbercliff B&B. The caring and attentive attitude manifested itself with the smallest and most genuine gestures (those you can not pay for), to the attention to making... More

The inn is so beautiful with authentic decor down to every last detail. We loved the Chauncey Suite looking out over the front of the property. It was back off the road and minimal traffic noise. The sitting area was warm and friendly....Great breakfast...with friendly, innkeepers. They give you the opportunity to sit outdoors for breakfast, weather permitting. The inn... More

Beautiful B&B, decorated so that you feel you are a traveler staying at an inn in the 1700s. You almost expect to see your carriage outside waiting for you. The unique and artfully executed interior is just incredible. The innkeepers are gracious, warm, and friendly. The beds and pillows are so comfortable you won't want to get out of bed.... More

This inn has a great location for walking into the harbor. It sets back from the road in trees. It is a beautiful home with a nice veranda with a view of the bay. We enjoyed the most delicious breakfasts every morning on the veranda. The hosts are very nice and make you feel like you are visiting old friends.
