I paid for the room with a river view. The view is outstanding, only one problem. If you are on the first floor, you are also on display. There is a public walkway that runs right by the rooms. You can't leave the curtains open to enjoy the view, because people are always walking by and looking in your room.... More

Stayed here for just one night. It is an older hotel that is in need of some updating but it was very clean. The breakfast was bread, packaged pastries and some cereal. Very simple. The view from our waterfront room was great. It's what you'd expect from a Maine coastal town. The mile long river walk was beautifully designed and well kept. Bucksport is quaint little town with a small downtown with some shops. Theres a bookstore across the street and directly across the street was one of my favorite restaurants (seafood / steaks)....
