We were passing through Maine on our way from New Brunswick to Montreal and my wife booked this B & B as a midway stop. We were greeted by David (the owner) upon our arrival who was extremely friendly and welcoming. This is an 'eco' B & B, meaning that everything was powered by solar energy - a real plus... More

Just got back from an east-coast road trip (tail end of our honeymoon) that involved an overnight at the Williams Pond Lodge. My husband and I had only planned one night in Bucksport, as it was a midpoint on our drive back to Toronto. We both wished we could have stayed longer!! Williams Pond Lodge was an unexpected gem! Between... More

I can't imagine ever staying at any other B&B in the Bar Harbor region after the wonderful experience we had here at Williams Pond Lodge. Firstly, the location is gorgeous. Williams Pond is so peaceful - the lodge includes a large part of the surrounding woods and the primary sounds are woodpeckers and cheerful songbirds that gather by the water.... More

We were looking for peace and solitude and found it in this B&B. A great, remote spot in the woods and off the grid where you can listen to the calls of the loons or take a leisurely kayak paddle on the peaceful, quiet lake. The rooms are super clean with an obvious eye to detail. David's breakfast's and desserts... More

Williams Pond Lodge is a great experience. My husband and I have stayed at all different types of B and B's but this isn't your "normal" B and B. It is really a "boutique", rustic cabin with all the necessary amenities. We arrived late, in the dark and the dirt road was difficult to navigate. In the daylight it was... More

Wife and I stayed at the Williams Pond Lodge two nights April 4th and 5th. Like all the other guests David goes out of his way to treat you not just as a guest but as a friend. He is very witty and has a great sense of humor, very upbeat guy for sure. Breakfast was wonderful; fresh fruit, yogurt... More

It's hard to recall a place where the experience gets any better than this. Let's start with David, the host. He's funny, welcoming, gracious, and a wicked good bagpiper (upon request). He bakes the most amazing cookies and breads, and breakfast is always delicious. Lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberry sauce, sausage, and fresh fruit comes to mind, but we are... More

This is our third trip in three years to Williams Pond Lodge. We love the guest rooms, the views, the idyllic pond side setting, but most of all the host David. His breakfasts are legendary. He is always thinking about his guests and is very accommodating. He knows the area well and can send you in any direction you want... More

We probably talk about David's breakfast once a week - still. It was the best breakfast I have ever had. Ever. David could not have been nicer and more accommodating. He even shaved his mustache into the shape that I suggested would look nice on him. We kayaked on the pond, found glow in the dark insects (no idea what... More

My partner and I recently (late November) visited an old friend in Bucksport and she recommended Williams Pond Lodge - clearly an exceptional spot! Our room was well appointed, cozy and the bed very comfortable. However, what gives this lodge its five-star rating is its co-owner and host, Dave. We were the only guests during the weekend before Thanksgiving and... More
