We were very happy with our two night stay at Captain Sawyer's Place. The inn is located just steps from shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed people watching from the large front porch. Our room was small but comfortable and breakfast included muffins/coffee cakes, cereal, quiche and waffles. Prices were very reasonable, the innkeeper was very friendly and helpful. This is an old sea captains house right in town, the location is very convenient for all the shops, restaurants and the water. We highly recommend Captain Sawyer's as the place to stay when you visit Boothbay Harbor. We have been staying with Kim at Captain Sawyer's for many years. It's a wonderful home away from home. Kim, the owner, is a wonderful hostess and goes out of her way to make her customers feel like part of the family. Great breakfasts...the quiche... more

I recently spent five nights at Capt. Sawyer's and highly recommend it. The innkeeper is personable, a lifelong resident and great source of information about the region. This will be the third year we go back to Captain Sawyers for our anniversary weekend. The innkeeper is warm and friendly but not in your face. She makes a wonderful, truely homemade breakfast. Have stayed at several places in Maine over last 20 years but keep ging back to Captain's Saywer's, which is the best for a true Bed and Breakfast stay. We booked Captain Sawyer's Place mainly because it was one of the only B&Bs that was open the weekend that we were heading to Boothbay to relax.
