“I planned an artist’s getaway at Pond House for the week after my daughter’s wedding. It was my first time staying at Pond House and I was delighted with the warm welcome I received, the delicious breakfast every morning, and the helpful advice on beautiful places I could go to sketch and paint. The Pond House itself is picturesque and... More

This B&B is beautifully appointed with antiques, fresh flowers and Maine art, including prints by the owner Mary Huntington. A superb breakfast is served in the lovely room overlooking a peaceful pond just steps away from the main road of Boothbay Harbor. Mary knows the area well, especially hiking trails and beautiful vistas, and can provide detailed tips for touring... More

I spent 3 wonderful days here with a good friend. The Pond House is on a quiet street, but the shops and restaurants of Boothbay Harbor are just a short walk away. The grassy back yard gently slopes down to a gem of a pond. Lie on the ultra-comfy chaise lounges and you are floating in summer bliss. Frogs serenaded... More

My husband and I stayed at the Pond House for five nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and we couldn't have asked for a more relaxing, enjoyable vacation. Mary is a wonderful hostess and cooked lovely breakfasts each morning. We wanted to leave early one day for Acadia, and also had to leave early on the morning of our departure,... More

Not having traveled to Maine in the past, we were depending on the reviews from TripAdvisor to point us in the right direction. Well, they certainly hit a bullseye with the Pond House. My husband and I haven't done a lot of traveling but have preferred staying in hotels because of the privacy. Well, if this stay is any indication... More

The Pond House B &B exceeded our expectations. Mary, the owner, made us feel as if we had known her for years. At breakfast we felt as if we were home, except we were waited on. Mary served us two excellent meals. I am not saying what so people can be surprised when they go there. My husband has been... More

Pond House drew me in right away. I'm not such a B&B person, usually preferring the privacy of a hotel. The Pond House web site spoke to me, though, and I was not disappointed. The rooms are just as advertised, and the atmosphere of the place is also consistent with the site. The house is serene and feels very private.... More

Tasteful serene place surrounded by beauty. The ME Botanical Gardens drew us here on our 4th trip to ME. We had skipped Boothbay Harbor before after reading it was too touristy. On the contrary, we found it perfect for us. It's an easy drive from Portland airport and you can experience ME without trying to cover the state. On other... More

Like a favorite restaurant that you return to time after time, the Pond House hits just the right notes in the category of accommodations. You're as likely to find repeat guests as delighted first-timers. On my second visit, I encountered guests that I had met on my last trip as well as another who settles in for three-week stays year... More

Last year, my husband and I took part of our summer vacation in Boothbay Harbor. We went to Boothbay to meet our son's future in-laws on Southport Island (although they didn't know yet that he was planning to propose !). When I go away on vacation I look for a place away from all of the things that pull at... More
