The word "gracious" is inadequate to describe the owners of this B&B. Carol Gould is always friendly and chatty. Scott Gould can talk skiing and home renovating as long as you're willing. Their home, which at first seems to be an old New England house but in reality is fairly new, is impeccably maintained and attractive.

We stayed one night at the Bethel Hill B&B in early February and found it to be a wonderfully operated, warm, and accomodating inn! Carol welcomed us and was ready to share her extensive knowledge of the area and its many winter attractions. Our room, the Woodrose Room, was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Our breakfast, prepared by Scott, started... More

When my husband and I couldn't get into a quainter inn in Bethel, we thought we might be disappointed in a second choice. After two nights with Scott and Carol Gould we were so glad we got the chance to experience one of the best B&Bs we've stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot!). It was peaceful, set a... More

Our stay at the Bethel Hill B&B was fabulous. The rooms were lovely, decorated with tasteful antiques, and located on a quiet, uncrowded street. Scott & Carol are wonderful innkeepers, rich with knowledge about the area, making them great resources for sight-seeing and dining. They were extremely helpful, while maintaining guests' privacy. The entire inn was scrupulously clean, a level to... More

We stayed two nights. Our room was excellent, as were the breakfasts. The information provided by Scott and Carol about local attractions was spot on. Bethel is an interesting place - quite a number of restaurants. Grafton Notch State Park provides good walking.

I am not prone to writing reviews, but our stay at Bethel Hill was so delightful that I am eager to recommend it. Scott and Carol made us feel like honored guests in their immaculate and lovely home. They helped us find enjoyable excursions each day (even when it was raining), cooked delicious breakfasts, and provided us with a restful... More

We just returned from our first trip to Maine, and Bethel Hill was our first stop. We were met and greeted by name, shown to a lovely suite with period antiques. There was friendliness but no intrusion into our privacy, which we value. Lovely place for eating breakfast, and the hostess gave us such perfect maps and suggestions for sightseeing,... More

Had a great night before the harvestfest. The room was really lovely, can't believe how much Carol and Scott did themsleves to convert the rooms. Waffles and berries for breakfast were just scrummy and the guide to local restaurants and their recommendations were spot on.

Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, absolutely superb service, beautiful furnishings. Scott and Carol are superior innkeepers and were SO warm and welcoming. We looked at three other inns in town and are SO glad that we kept looking and found them. Any of their three rooms would be an excellent choice. All are private, quiet, and sumptuously appointed. Honestly, call them... More

We had the opportunity to attend a wedding in Bethel and luckily arranged reservations for ourselves and another couple. Carol and Scott were the quintessential hosts; their home is spotless, comfortable, and has several very comfortable common areas. We will stay there again if and when we ever get back to Bethel.
