Your hosts, Jim and Larry, have made a lovely home amongst the victorian setting of Galen Moses House, and share it warmly and with class and wit. The gardens are resplendit, the rooms tasteful and spacious, and the breakfasts and hospitality delightful. We especially appreciated that the Carriage Room was available for those of us who travel with our pets.... More

Overall, a very satisfying stay - gracious hosts, comfortable rooms and a delicious breakfast. However, this one is not or everyone...it's for those who embrace the decorative; it is not for those who value simplicity and old world elegance. The house was born of a certain architectural era - part Victorian, part Arts and Crafts - the result is a... More

The house is very large and impressive and the interior is filled with Victorian antiques. We stayed in the Victorian room which had a very comfortable bed and a well equipped bathroom. The breakfasts were a highlight with beautifully prepared food by Jim and served by an entertaining Larry and if busy helped by Mildred (aka Mrs. Doubtfire). We would... More

We were immediately taken in when we arrived by the beautiful gardens and period interior decor of the house. The 8000+ square-foot house, built in 1874, has been restored to it's original historic glory with furnishings that are conversation pieces and exquisitely compliment the period of the home. Jim and Larry (and Summer the greyhound) were wonderful hosts. We thoroughly... More

We were pleasantly greeted at the front door by Jim and the greyhound, Summer. My wife was immediately in love with the house, Jim and of course, the dog. After settling into our room, we headed downstairs to go to dinner and were greeted by Larry who inquired where we were going to eat. He promptly recommended specific menu items... More

We stayed at the Moses house for two of the hottest nights of the year in Bath. Although our bedroom was quite comfortably air conditioned, the rest of the house was not. That limited our time in the house to staying in our room and having breakfast in the dining room. We didn't have much time to stay in the... More

The inn is in a quiet residential neighborhood, but a short, pleasant walk to the center of town-which is an extraordinary place as well. Decor is simply stunning-all the rooms, guest and public areas, are grand, and worth the trip. Breakfast is either full or continental, both are excellent. The hosts know the local area, and are both gracious and... More

Jim and Larry were terrific hosts. The room was well-appointed, the breakfast(s) sensational, and the 5 o'clock cocktails (and conversation) charming and witty. Jim and Larry freely share their wealth of information about the town and its local attractions, which was very helpful. I most definitely plan to return!

I am so impressed with every detail of the accomodations and the stay. Jim and Larry pay attention to every detail. They did an incredible job of remodeling and rebuilding to the original design. The place is impeccably clean. The room was kept perfect. Larry and Jim are such warm and friendly hosts. I recommend staying here for pleasure and... More

From the moment we walked through the threshold of this gorgeous Victorian home, my husband and I were blown away. The house is beautifully appointed in period antiques with touches of whimsy and incredible architectural details. Our hosts, Jim and Larry were incredibly gracious, and worked hard at every moment to make sure we had everything we needed. Our room,... More
