The owners live on site of this Oakdale Best Western, which while sporting nice comfortable clean rooms, is in need of some sound proofing. I hate to blame the hotel for the fact the fact guests cannot seem to close a door without slamming it, but perhaps a spring mechanism on the room doors and stairwells would be well served.... more
We recently stayed here when we had to evacuate for Hurricane Ike. The rooms were very clean and nice. The entire staff was very accomodating during our stay in every way possible. I would recommend this motel to any travelers in this area and would gladly stay here again. more
Several of us (13) stayed in this hotel as part of a Disaster Relief Team from Ohio because of a mix-up in our destination location. Had a mandatory evac. order for Vermilion Parish due to Hurricane Gustav. I made a reservation for six days at the Best Western Inn in Oakdale. Extremely clean, new, modern hotel. Stayed here for business. Reserved through AAA, however, when I decided to upgrade my room to a king at check-in, the manager did not honor the reduced AAA rate. more
