I recently stayed at the Booker-Lewis house when my mom, sister, and I visited Fort Polk to welcome my brother home from Afghanistan. I absolutely loved it!! This restaurant and pub are located in beautiful historic homes. They have a 'real' chef, who works miracles in a tiny kitchen, and their menus & specials change often. There are vegetarian options as well. The pub is small and quiet, Also a good place for weddings and events. More

If you are passing through or going to Leesville, the Booker-Lewis House is definitely worth a stop. It is a wonderful old house that has been immaculately updated and modernized, yet structurally preserved.
