I can't say enough about this wonderful park. The cabins are all just wonderful. I don't think there is a bad one. There is also lots to do. Canoe, flat boat, and paddle boats. Plus lots of nice trails. We had a BLAST.

I live about 30 miles form Fausse Pt. and the wife and I always look foward to going back every chance we get. If you don't like wasp, or bugs, than stay in the city or in your house. If you like nature, fishing, cooking and having a great time with family or even strangers, than go to Fausse Pointe...

We stayed at Lake Fausse Pointe many times, and decided that we wanted to celebrate our anniversary there - we took it a step farther, and in full Southern attire, we renewed our vows of 25 years right at the deck on the bayou at our favorite, Cabin 8!
This was an outstanding and memorable event, and we would like...

We stayed in a cabin for 6 nights. The cabin was nice, however the wasps were horrible. After spending over $50 on spray, I went to the office to ask for some help with the matter, and without even acknowledging me, the person behind the counter just reached down, and handed me a half empty can of wasp spray. Lake Fausse Point is a beautiful State Park. The park is a 25 mile drive off of I-10 and feels like it is thousands of miles away from everything. The campsites are excellent and the park is extremely clean. There is a new "Spray Park" that the children love and is much safer than a pool. There are two playgrounds...

My family looked for a place that was close to home ( 1 and a half hours) but felt like you were in the middle of a beautiful wilderness. We found it. Lake Fausse is not a large park on land, so you should rent a canoe to paddle through the breathtaking Atchafalaya Basin. The trip was easy enough for...

I tried booking Cabin #1 for a short stay, however, the phone reservation system was closed for a long weekend. So I called the office directly on Friday and was told it would be no problem to book the cabin, it was available. I would just have to wait and call back that day (Sunday).
When I called back on...

This campground is great if you want to get away from the world for a couple of days. There is hardly any cell phone service in the park. The trails & lake were beautiful.
We rode around at night & looked at animals. On our last night we saw 7 deer, 1 rabbit, & 2 racoons. The kids loved it!...
