I had originally booked a reservation for a 3-night stay at this location. We were in town for a 3-day event at the Cajun Elite Shooting Club. We stayed the 1st night, which was 2/28/08. We left the room at 8:30am on 2/29/08 to go to the gun club, where we spent the day. We returned to the room at 4:40pm. There had been no maid service. The beds were still unmade. Clearly, no one had been in the room since we left, which I thought was rather odd. Please remember this as it is important later in the story. I decided to check-out and move to a different hotel on the other side of town, which was closer to stores, restaurants, etc. I checked with the front desk. The girl on duty said it was fine for me to check out, gave me a credit slip for my first night to sign and we grabbed our belongings and left and proceeded to check-in at the Holiday Inn Select, also in Jennings.
