We were driving from Florida back to Texas over Thanksgiving. We stopped at the La Quinta in Covington, LA because we'd had good luck at La Quinta hotels in the past. Perhaps this was just bad timing on their part. There was a water leak in the hall that wasn't repaired for several days which caused the whole hotel to smell musty. The cleanliness was sub-par and we had to step over dog poop on the stairs everytime we went to our room. Maybe they had a lack of staff? More

It is in a great location, and it really is a nice hotel! Lots of places to shop and eat close by. The staff was amazing! Super super friendly-and that is the most important aspect for me!
