We stayed 6 nights in the School House and what a great place! The cabins afford a good deal of privacy, are far enough out of town to feel like we were staying in the country, yet close enough to the Interstate making travel to the destination of the day easy. Several local cafes and restaurants are in the area... More

We stayed in the school house - a very nice well appointed property. Very spacious with lots of character and looking on to a lovely lake. A great host who gave us loads of tips when delivering breakfast on hid golf cart. As a european we were disappointed nothing within walking distance but lots of things to see a short... More

Three nights in the Magenta cottage was a delight. Chris and Stephanie created just the right atmosphere in the cozy cottage; everything you could need was there ... even a print of a nun leading a cow across the field. But the it was the dock and porch that made our stay; quiet, peaceful ... I finished 2 books while... More

The Cajun Country Cottages are a lovely getaway from the busy days of traveling. You can read by the docks, use their canoes or pirogues, and just enjoy the blissful surroundings. The Little Cypress Cabin, where we stayed, was well equipped and had a very homey feel. They had a full kitchen where we prepared our own dinner one night,... More

We own a small but busy cafe in New Orleans and have been working extremely long hours what with holidays, family visits and a big convention crowd. With the prospect of Mardi Gras and all those extended hours, we were looking for a place to go where we didn't need email, cell phones, or computers. We stayed in the Little... More

We were looking for a place to stay in Breaux Bridge and decided a cottage would be more relaxing than a room in a B&B. We stayed in the schoolhouse which has two rooms, kitchen/living room with a gas fireplace and a bedroom with a queen bed. The large bathroom has a jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The cottage is... We stayed three nights in the Playhouse and it was a wonderful and relaxing visit. The cottage is charmingly decorated with vintage furniture and knick knacks, as well as lots of books and magazines. A yummy breakfast was delivered in a red basket each morning (eggs, sausage, biscuits, strawberries, juice), and was indicative of the care the owners put into... More

My wife and I stayed here for a couple days in May. We were on our way back to Dallas after a few days in New Orleans. This place is wonderful. SO peaceful sitting on the lake. Both my wife and I enjoyed the ducks. The cottage we rented was very comfortable. Breakfast each morning was very good. You can... More

Otis Redding said it best..."Sittin' on the dock of the lake, wastin' time"...Well I took some liberties with the lyrics, but either way that time is wasted in only a good way. A homey little cottage with nice country furnishings that steps out to a dock on the water. Perfect!! The cottage had everything you need, with a first floor... More

What a great model for accommodation. We arrived and found our cabin key waiting for us in a basket on the front door of the owners' home. A few minutes later, we were directed to our cabin. The next three mornings, breakfast was delivered to our door in a picnic basket. We ate at our leisure and shared any extra... More
