Booked a reservation with e-mail confirmation in May, 2008 for the World Equestrian Games in September, 2010. Recently checked in with the innkeeper and was told that due to a computer error our reservation had been lost and the room was subsequently booked to someone else. I understand that errors happen, but there is no excuse for refusing to rectify... more

My partner and I stayed for two nights at A Storybook Inn and all we can say is that we loved it! We've stayed at some pretty nice properties-- including Napa Valley Lodge, Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite, Casa Sedona in Sedona, AZ, the Royal Hawaiian in Honolulu, the Groveland Hotel in Groveland, CA among them--and this small B&B ranks way... more

This is such a beautiful, tranquil place. Elise has paid close attention to details, whether it be interior design, food preparation, or overall service. Our breakfasts were amazing--there was no need for lunch, though we did enjoy the sweets that were waiting in the afternoon when we returned to the cottage! We had everything we needed in the cottage, and... more

We are experience travelers for business, and now luckily for pleasure. This little place is the best we have found for relaxation, charm, and romance. It is wonderfully clean, delighfully decorated, and comfort is the signature delight. Even if you really feel like sleeping in, you could, but you would not want to miss Elise's breakfast. The food is delicious,... more

My wife and I have stayed in many B&Bs over the years. Our litmus test for hotels, restaurants and B&Bs is the question; “would we come back?” Storybook Inn is of the few B&Bs where we look forward to visiting again. The Inn is wonderfully and tastefully decorated and at the same time very comfortable. The large outdoor screened in... more

My husband and I recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at A Storybook Inn. The entire place was immaculate, and the breakfast was sumptuous. My husband special ordered an all fruit breakfast, and they gave him a big, beautiful bowl full. The tea served with breakfast was extraordinary. We stayed in the Huntsman's Chase Cottage where there were extra goodies... more

We love A Storybook Inn! We recently returned from our second stay, and it was just as wonderful as the first time - maybe even more so, if that is possible. We have already booked for next year's trip and cannot wait to return. Thanks Elise! more

My husband and I stayed at the Inn during our first outing to the Kentucky Derby. The accommodations were wonderful and the staff so delightful, we could not have asked for a more perfect weekend. The house and gardens themselves are spectacular, but Elise and team make the Inn truly special with personal touches that make it feel like home. more

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Storybook Inn immensely . The Innkeeper Elise, couldn't have been more helpful and gracious. The meals prepared by Carolynn were outstanding in both presentation and quality. Our room was spacious, clean and more beautifully decorated than described on the website. I wouldn't have changed a thing. What a wonderful warm and... more
