A wonderful inn and innkeeper! Rich was the perfect host serving wonderful breakfasts and always ready for a chat. This inn was comfortable and full of antebellum charm. Our bed in the third floor guest room was one of the most comfortable I have slept in. We were a quick and easy cab ride from downtown as well as the... More

What a well-maintained and stunning piece of Louisville architecture! We had a very private room on the third floor and slept in an amazingly comfortable bed. I loved walking through the house and checking out the artwork and stained glass. Rich, the innkeeper, is pretty funny and always spinning a story. Breakfasts were hearty and well presented. The neighborhood itself... More

All I can say is DITTO to the other words of high praise for both the house and the inn keeper! This oasis was just what what two over-worked and stressed out people needed for a quick get away. The house was beautiful, the room was quiet, and the inn keeper brought it all together for the best experience we... More

Not to miss! I always prefer to stay in either guesthouses or B&B where you can get more personal experience of the place, city, country. Excellent tips from the host and amazing house. Nicely decorated rooms and tasty breakfast. When passing Louisville, will consider to stay again. Travel in September 2011.

My wife and I stayed at Columbine Sat/Sun nights this past weekend. Being avid B&Bers, on our way home, I asked my wife what her top 3 B&Bs were in terms of 1) room, 2) food, 3) the combination of the two. She put our room at the Columbine in her top three. We stayed in the Magnolia Suite, one... More

I have stayed here on many occasions and have always had a wonderful experience. The breakfasts are amazing and the inn keepers are warm and friendly. My favorite bed and breakfast of all time, and I have stayed in many throughout my years of travel.

I saw all the positive reviews while booking this location, and thought there is no way they can be that good - but if anything it was better. I was in Louisville for a wedding and meeting new family, which is a little stressful for me - and this place made it relaxing and wonderful. The hotel is beautiful and... More

We stayed 3 nights at this b and b in October. It is a huge beautiful old Victorian home in old Louisville with easy access to downtown. But the best thing about the Columbine is the hosts, rich and bob, who are super attentive, friendly and engaging. It was a real pleasure staying with them. Be aware, though, it is... More

Stayed here with my husband for one night while passing through Louisville. The house is beautiful and very well maintained. Everything was very clean, the owner was very nice and accommodating. We stayed in the second floor garden room. Everything was fairly comfortable but you can hear sounds from the streets as well as airplanes throughout the night. The bathroom... More

This was my first time staying in a B&B, and it was fantastic. I asked the owners if all B&Bs were like this, because then I might consider staying in one in another city some time! It's extremely clean and looks new even though the design theme is Victorian. Don't ask me how this is....!! But it's the best of... More
