From the moment the gates open to this Southern estate, you know you are in for a rare treat. Jim Black, your host, greets you at the door and takes you on a guided tour of the facility. He designed the home and built it with the purpose of allowing his guests a rare look at what Southern hospitality and... More

A stay at Blackridge Hall is the modern day equivalent of authentic southern hospitality. By that we mean beautifully presented candlelit breakfasts on the veranda overlooking grazing thoroughbreds, meticulously decorated and cleaned rooms and suites, and a host and hostess that are committed to the comfort and enjoyment of the guests they share their home with. I would and have... More

I have stayed at many a bed & breakfast, superb to wonderful, but this is the first one where I truly felt like I had been invited into someone's home as a PERSONAL friend. The owner, Jim Black, was above & beyond helpful, and superbly knowledgeable, about all - yes, each and every one - of the local attractions. He... More

We had a great time! Myself and my daughter. Went on our first horse vacation. Mr Jim Black at Blackridge Hall was very hepful with places to go and things to do and tickets to specific events and even made appointments for us to tour some of the horse farms! It wouldn't have been the same without the personal touch... More

From our initial conversation I knew this would be a memorable stay. Jim Black is simply the finest owner of this wonderful B & B....which is more like home than any other establisment we have ever stayed at. It is absolutely apparent the pride Mr Black has in not only opening his home to you, but the wilingness to make... More

My husband and I stayed 4 nights in this beautiful georgian style mansion. Jim Black was a gracious host. He was very accomodating assisting us with brochures and maps to the local area and attractions. We were impressed by the meticulous rooms and decor. The bed and breasfast is the perfect setting within bluegrass country and overlooks a horse farm.... More

My mom, cousin and I had a nice overnight stay at Blackridge Hall while visiting the Kentucky Horse park. The location was close to the park and Jim even had discount admission tickets we could purchase. Our plans changed slightly but Jim rolled with us and was flexible in our arrival time. Thanks to Jim for his hospitality. Gail, Judy... More

As you enter the gates, there stands Blackridge Hall, a beautiful southern mansion set in the lush countryside of Georgetown, KY. Jim Black, owner, welcomes you to his home with a tour of the house. After settling in, discovered Jim had left us a hand written welcome scroll and chocolate beside the bed. The home is very spacious and each... More

The house is a beautiful and elegant Georgian style mansion. Your visit starts off with a tour of the house, the furnishings and the grounds which sits peacefully among several horse farms. Breakfast is several light courses starting with a dish of fresh cut fruit followed by eggs bendict and fresh warm pastry to top it off; another day is... More

Our stay at Blackridge Hall was all we expected. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the very large house was tastefully decorated with antiques. We stayed in a smaller room, which was fine, but our tour of Blackridge Hall revealed several large and luxurious suites. Breakfast was a delicious eggs benedict served with fresh fruit and plenty of... More
