We took our daughter for a campus visit at Mcpherson College in Mcpherson ,Ks on 04/14/2012. As she was invited to spend the night with some of the team, I needed to stay in a hotel and chose BEST WESTERN Holiday Manor in Mcpherson. The hotel and staff were nice but the building its self could use a little tlc.

When we arrived they had lost our reservation. I have a bad knee, getting ready for surgery, and they had no ground floors. I was guaranteed a ground floor when I made them. Repairs are needed on the property. Price is a bit high for the types of rooms. Guess for two nights we survived.

My wife and I spent a night here with two grandchildren (7&9) while visiting points of interest in Hutchinson and Salina. We stopped without a reservation and the lady at the front desk was helpful and friendly. We were tired after a long drive. She gave us information about the area and places to eat. I've stayed at this Best Western twice and found it to be a comfortable and reasonable accommodation. There was a fitness room, an indoor and outdoor pool and a meeting area next to the indoor pool. We would stay again! Breakfast was great, nice restaurant, rooms nicely remodeled. My only complaint would be the access to rooms from outside.

This is definitely the BEST Hotel in McPherson. Don't let the outside appearance fool you from the photo. It's an older hotel but the rooms have been remodeled, big and nice for the price. The hotel service was nice and friendly. Definitely the right choice when visiting the College in McPherson.
