I traveled here in October and stayed in Waukon because all hotels in Decorah, Iowa were full. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. Dear Anonymous, Our sincere apologies for your obviously unsatisfactory experience! We did encounter some mildew problems due to a combination of spring flooding followed by a water pipe breaking. We brought in professional help and, admittedly, they apparently missed four bathroom ceilings that had mildew behind some bathroom wall covering that eventually showed in the shower ceilings and some edges.... We stayed here with a number of family members for a wedding in September. The rooms are small, but are delightfully decorated in a lodge theme (you can tell by the pictures). we had a family vacation with people coming from several states, booked 4 rooms at stoney creek. ALL rooms had problems. Room one - a/c that was blowing water into the room. the shower rod had black mold on top of it. toilet wasn't bolted to the floor, had to 'fixed' every time it was flushed room 2 - shower... More

The beds were very comfy! My kids were very excited to sleep on the bunkbed that was in our room. The service was great! The staff is very kind and friendly.

This was a great hotel within walking distance of downtown. We stayed here on New Years Eve and were very happy that we could have a few drinks downtown and safely walk back for the night.
