The staff was friendly, pool was nice, restaurant was ok for "lake food". However, the rooms were terrible. We stayed in one of the cabins closer to the lake and this was the older portion of the resort, but we did have the staff show us some new rooms after the first few nights and they weren't much better especially... The more than ample staff at The Inn at Okoboji are absolutely the best (always delightful, always accommodating) and the rooms and grounds are kept immaculate/pristine. Although the rooms that we had were sparse (no bells and whistles), they were clean and more than met our needs (sleep), as we were out-and-about most of the time. We're already talking about... This is an old, historic property on West Lake Okoboji, with swimming, fishing, and boat dock right on the lake. Don't let old fool you though, the age of the place is apparent only in the architecture, not in amenities or upkeep. Beautiful grounds and friendly staff complement the lake access. There is a nice, large outdoor pool and a... More

The room was small but very nice and had additional bunk beds in the back room as well as a microwave and refrigerator. Just steps to the lake with a nice dock and sunning area. It was also next to a path that went on and on around the lake and we could view nice vacation homes also. The staff... More

We have been to the lakes area for many years and have stayed in quite a few different resorts. Over the past 3 visits to the lakes area we have made The Inn our choice to stay. We chose a lakefront view with plenty to do in the area and only a short drive to the events we have planned... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for my birthday weekend. We looked up the hotel on line and booked a jacuzzi suite. By the photos, it looked beautiful and we were so excited for a weekend getaway! Upon check in, we were directed to our room, which was nothing more than a "Super 8" style room with a... More

The Inn at Okoboji's ownership and management does recognize that bed bugs are an ever increasing problem nationwide for the hospitality industry and we do take all reports of suspicious insect activity very seriously. Being a lakeside resort with all of our units opening to the outdoors (no interior corridors as you would find in a traditional hotel) and with... More

My husband and I revisited the Inn after an absence of several years. We met in Okoboji and were celebrating our 30th anniversary. A two-night stay was over $300 which was a bit pricey for the accomodations. We had just entered the room and the smoke alarm went off. They were quick to send someone to fix it. There was... More

The Inn met and exceeded our expectations for a 4 day, 3 night family getaway on Okoboji. We booked a Family package that included many extras (attraction passes, discounts, etc). Location: Excellent. Only 5 minute drive from either Arnold's Park or Spirit Lake business district, right on the water. There is a walking path that leads along the shore to... More

I traveled to Okoboji for three days in July to meet friends for a reunion. We had spent a week at Okoboji following our high school graduation 45 years ago. At that time The Inn was the premiere resort on Okoboji. I was surprised to find that the rooms had not changed over this long period of time and other... More

We stayed at the Inn the second week of June, Found the bed hard, the room was damp, the dehumidifier ran all night and you had to listen to it and the faucet in the bedroom dripped, Ate breakfast at the Inn once, service was slow, and flys every where. The clorine odor in the indoor pool area, burned the eyes.... More
