I would rate this a better than average Day's Inn. It is far enough from the freeway to be quiet, the room was clean and wel furnished and the included hot breakfast very extensive - was what you would expect in a more expensive motel.
Basic room but nice breakfast and staff. A good value for those looking to stop for a night while passing through the area.
Had a great night in one of the large Suites. Best whirlpool tub in Town I think. It was a great date night with a great dinner at Grinnell Steak house. I look forward to have a great nights stay again soon. Also was a good breakfast for a days inn.
Bed bugs, mold, faulty wiring, leaking fixtures, spoiled breakfast food, no heat. I am in hotels over 100 days a year and this is absolutely the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Never ever stay here. Run away!

My friends and I stayed over the weekend to catch a Hawkeye game and visit some old friends. Friendly staff, great hot breakfast, and reasonable price convinced us to stay another night. Several good places to eat also other than the usual chains. Looking forward to visiting again!

We checked in around 1am, were greater by friendly staff. The room was clean, free breakfast was fine. For $55/night it was perfect for passing through.

Undergoing construction, but that was not really a problem.
However, the room needed a deep cleaning. The bedspread had large stains on it, as did one of the bathroom walls.
The outside security doors were propped open with a brick from the construction site.
