My family stayed at the Inn in March. My cousin rented out the Inn for a family event. It was just wonderful to be able to have the "run" of the place. The rooms were perfect, beds comfy, and food wonderful. I would recommend ti anyone!

We stayed two nights in this wonderful inn. Our hostess, Val, was pleasant and helpful. Would have given a rating of five except that several rooms share a single bathroom (although this arrangement has allowed the owners to keep the original floor plan of the house intact).

Spaulding Inn is filled with beautiful furniture, pictures and information about the Spaulding family and their role in Grinnell, IA economy. The innkeeper, Valerie Hammond is friendly and knowledgable without being intrusive. My husband and I stayed in the Burr Oak room last weekend. Great experience-very comfortable bed and clean room. The house is amazing-spent alot of time looking at the interesting and historical items. Valarie was very gracious and informative. Breakfast was healthy and delicious. Definitely would stay there again.

I stayed here last fall, and it was so nice. I stayed in a room with the bathroom down the hall, but there weren't many people there so it felt like I had it to myself.
