At check-in, when they ask for a credit card for "incidentals", they actually charge the card for $15, and then rebate the charge after a week if you have no additional charges. We stopped in Des Moines on a road trip. It was later evening and the front desk was very helpful in getting us settled in, which included a great rate. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was a bit to be desired but t was late and we just wanted sleep.

Stayed one night on our way to Denver. We try and stay at Country Inn & Suites hotels exclusively and this hotel was outstanding. The staff was friendly, The entire hotel was immaculately clean, the breakfast was great, internet fast, comfy, cozy, better than home. Five stars all the way!!

I would NOT recommend this hotel if it is a place you and your family/friends want to be able to hang out together and relax. Clean rooms, friendly helpful staff, and a convenient location. The hotel seems well maintained, and the staff is very friendly and anxious to please. Beds are comfortable. Much better choice than the best western that is next to this property.

The Country Inn & Suites at Des Moines West provided a welcome stay-over point during our road trip from Chicago to Cheyenne. The rooms are clean, the service is good, and the breakfast was good value. The parking lot seems safe and well-lit. We bought the night through Hotwire and felt the value was fair. Recommended

I've always found Country Inns to be good hotels, never fancy, but well maintained, quiet and comfortable with good immenities. That is true in the West Des Moines/Clive location, but this has to be one of the best properties in the chain. Great staff, well maintained and comfortable. This hotel was clean comfortable and very reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and addressed any concern I had with professionalism and courtesy. I loved this place. Conveniently located just off the highway it was in walking distance to at least two of my favorite restaurants in Des Moines. I will definitely stay here again.
