I've stayed in some of the swankiest places in the US and few have come close to matching the hospitality and cleanliness of the Wildwood. My suite was spacious, smartly appointed, and extremely comfortable.

There is a huge area with tables and sofas near the Reception. The free breakfast is good with scrambled eggs and oatmeal being the Monday feature in addition to toast, bagels, English muffins, Danish, blueberry muffins, cereal and a couple others I don't recall. WOW! What a lobby absolutely beautiful and outdoorsy! We are very much outdoor kind of people. The guest rooms are fairly simple but nice, clean and still have an outdoorsy touch. The hotel is excellent. The rooms are clean. Plasma screen televisions. The northwoods theme is a bit odd in a prairie state, but it actually seemed to add to the charm of the place. Overall, a great motel when visiting the Des Moines area.
