There is nothing fancy about the Rodeway Inn. It is very clean and the staff is very helpful. There is a new owner who is trying to bring the place back up where it should be. The price was very good.

I was very concerned about contracting a disease from this place. If all rooms in Cedar Rapids are sold out. Go to Iowa City or else where. Please don't take your kids in there. I know that Rodeway Inns are not high end, but this place has to be lacking when it comes to their standards. I sent an email...

When I checked in I felt staff behind desk was rude. (Maybe because it was 11 PM.) The big dog (German Shephard perhaps?) was very scary when it barked. I was glad I did not have young children with me. The bathroom was clean, the TV worked fine BUT there was a very filthy looking pillowcase on one pillow and...

First off the room smelled, the chair next to thr bed was broken, the unvacumed filth next to the walls was gross. The outdated TV made a high pitch whine, the continental breakfast area was unkept and bare..... The owner dog barking was a real treat! One of the worst ive ever stayed in out of the other 120 hotels...

We made a two night reservation for two rooms with the understanding we could check out after one night if our stay was cut short. We were not familiar with Cedar Rapids and were in town with daughter and grandson. The lobby smelled sour, sheets were so thin we could see through them and the walls in both rooms were...

Had 3 adults and 8 kids sharing 3 rooms. Brought in 8 pizzas for dinner and manager threw a fit. claimed we could not eat in the room. Tried to reason with him or get him to show us a written policy. He eventually tried to extort a $100 cleaning deposit from us. We ended up taking the pizzas to...

We booked this hotel for my parents who were coming to Cedar Rapids for a family event. They were very happy with their stay. What they liked:
1) Very reasonable rates. ($50-$60 range)
2) Excellent breakfast -- not the typical dry pastries you see at so many hotels. They had homemade waffles, bagels, cereals, toast, fruit, muffins, milk, juices, etc....

With the condition of the room I had, you would think you could get a room by the hour. Let's see, multiple burns in the carpet, burn holes through the bed spread, a broken toilet seat, everything in the room covered with some type of "film." I was afraid to walk in the room without shoes on, for fear of...

Stayed in approx 40 US hotels last year and found this to be one of the worse. Outdated furniture that was broke, carpet with wear spots, inoperable heating and dated 19" TV. Oh and I should mention that the rooms smell. Girl behind the counter was flustered and the only one on site attemting to resolve all hotel issues. She...

I was never more dissatisfied. I did not even stay. I checked in, went to the room and immediately checked out. Floors had not been cleaned, Food items on floor, bedspreads looked like they had been laid on after the bed was made, mattress covers were not hooked on the mattresses. Floor from lobby to elevator route was dirty. Desk...
