The room was exceptionally clean and nicely decorated. We were traveling through the Chicago area and the location was excellent for getting both on and off the toll road. I had left my credit card at the check-in desk by mistake(mine!) and it was promptly returned to me in my room. I will definitely return to this motel again.

I read the reviews for Cool Springs and thought that we would be staying in a cute retro motel so I booked two rooms. I was wrong. The owners seem to be very nice and they were very polite when I asked for a refund so that we could find another place to stay... I wasn't staying even if the... More

staff very friendly, front office looked, smelled and felt like I was checking into a spa for the night. about a mile from the interstate and a few more to all Michigan City has, but you would never know it - feels like you are at a place in the country. super surprised when we entered - wonderful smell, wonderful... The rooms were very clean. The walls were pretty thin you could hear other guests talking. A little small but worth it. The lobby needed some attention and junk needed to be picked up outside. But overall the room was great.

If your looking for the amenities of a larger chain this is not the place for you. Though about half the price of the motels up 421 they still charge more than its worth. This is a very basic 50ish motel. The room did have a microwave, refrigerator and flat panel tv but no iron, ironing board or of all... More

This place will - or, perhaps, won't - become outstanding. But it needs some real attention to details. Otherwise, it's just a sort-of-nice-old-place. Based on the now obviously overstated glowing reviews before us, we stayed at the Inn for 3 nights on a Notre Dame football weekend. It's convenient - halfway between I-94 and I-90 on US 421, each a... More

Old school roadside motor inn that has recently been rehabbed - what a cool experience! The owners have maintained the charm but have rehabbed the rooms with all the modern conveniences. Great out of the way motel with easy access to expressway, dining, and casino.

I stayed at this Inn and the owners could not have been nicer. They gave us complimentary water bottles and delivered fresh, hot coffee in the morning. The room had a refrigerator, microwave, large screen tv and dvd player. I highly recommend this inn to all non-smokers!

Very nice updated room and bath at a very inexpensive price. The owner walks you to your unit to make sure everything is okay, shows you how to operate the TV/Dish, gives you bottled water (because they have well water that has an iron taste), and tells you to let them know if you need anything. Shortly after we checked... More
