Toward the end of what was a very nice stay at the Hampton in Marion, we had money stolen out of a bag that had been hidden in the room. Housekeeping management and others in the staff were helpful in trying to resolve the matter, while the general manager was highly uncooperative and ultimately took no responsibility. This is the nicest hotel in Marion. If all of the Hampton Inn's are of this quality we will be making them our first choice when traveling on the road. The furnishings and rooms were very nice for a roadside type hotel. Closer to 4 star hotel than typical roadside hotel. The bathrooms were huge and had nice big counters.... more

We stayed at this hotel on Friday evening, November 3, 2006 on our way to South Bend, IN to watch my Carolina Tar Heels take on (and lose) to Notre Dame in football. We arrived around midnight but we able to easily check-in. The lobby was updated and quite relaxing. Our room was on the 3rd floor at the end... more

I have overnighted in Marion in 4 different hotels, and the Hampton is the best experience of the limited choices. It's newer, nicer, and reasonably priced. more
