We rented all three rooms at the Harney House for our family while in town for a wedding. It worked out beautifully. Each room is really a suite with a sitting room; two have full kitchens. Yes, the bathrooms are small, but they are in most B&Bs. It was very clean, comfortable and quiet. It's decorated in period style, with... More

I am so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay here at the Harney House Inn and I'm glad I had all three units available so you could be together during your stay! I hope you come back and see us again when it is warmer so you can take advantage of walking around downtown to enjoy the museums,... More

My wife and I stayed at the Harney House for 4 days prior to Christmas 2012 in order to attend a wedding at the nearby Rathskellar Restaurant. While the Garden Room suite had a small issue of an old 1900s wooden door taking some work to latch (shrinking and swelling due to weather) and a smallish bathroom (not for tall... More

We booked 4 nites at the Inn over the Christmas Holidays while visiting family. The room was sub-par for the price ($135 plus tax per nite). It was kept too cold even after we mentioned it to the Inn owner (Deb) and it didn't help that there were BB holes in the window. The door did not latch properly causing... More

My husband and I took a roadtrip to Indianapolis for a getaway weekend. I let him do all the planning (I stayed out of it completely!) and he did a fantastic job chosing The Harney House. We stayed in Louis' Penthouse and I loved it - so awesome to have a fridge and microwave in the room. It was also... More

My husband and I are innkeepers ourselves, so it's always fun to see how another innkeeper creates and maintains her/his B&B. Deb does a wonderful job at the Harney House Inn. She exudes quiet hospitality (she is there and accessible if and when you need her, but not in your business constantly the way some innkeepers are--perfect balance). Appreciated the... More

I stayed here for a recent convention when all the hotels were sold out, and it was a great decision. It took me about 20 minutes to walk to the convention center and other attractions. The staff was great, the rooms were huge, with a living room, bedroom, full kitchen, bathroom. Really relaxing, only complaint was the wi-fi is really... More

I am glad you enjoyed your stay! Thanks for letting me know about the slow wi-fi. We had the lighting speed internet but I found out our router was not strong enough so we replaced it. Thanks again, Deb More

I stayed a whole week at the Harney while looking for real estate in Indy. The innkeeper couldn't be more pleasant and accommodating. The rooms are spotlessly clean, cozy and inviting. Best of all the location is superb, within walking distance of Lucas Oil Stadium, the City Market and the funky restaurant filled area of MASS AVE. You will feel... More

I have stayed here 3 times since it opened. Great location, great rooms and great breakfasts. I have stayed in all 3 rooms. Complimentary snacks are always available. There is a huge assortment of games and DVDs available. The first two times I stayed here, the breakfast options included hot egg dishes--the last visit only provided a continental breakfast. Either... More

We stayed at Harney House Inn for one night, 7/7/2012, and loved it! It is super clean, old world atmosphere with all the modern conveniences, including a jacuzzi. Tasty continental breakfast, and private parking behind the house. It is adjacent to the James Whitcomb Riley House in the historical Lockerbie Square area. Very nice, safe, with lots of new townhouses... More

Decided to come here after seeing the positive reviews. We were headed to Indy for a mini honeymoon. Debbie was very friendly and welcoming on arrival but so not invasive. She left us to ourselves. She had done up our room very cute with a card, mints, and even a small gift. SO SWEET. Room was clean, bed was comfortable.... More
