We stayed for the weekend during a basketball weekend at Indiana University. The location of this inn is perfect as you are in walking distance to the university, downtown shopping, and great restaurants and bars. We stayed in the main house. It was beautifully restored and maintained. The room was smaller than what you would have at a standard hotel,... More

I am not a B&B fan but for what the GSI is it's okay. Rooms are all different, some in the main building, some in a separate house. You can pick and choose from their website. I'm not sure it is handicap accessible so the stairs outside and to diningroom may be an issue. Positives: Very nicely decorated Bed very... More

Beautifully restored and maintained older house in the heart of Bloomington. This is a high-traffic student area so you do get the color of the neighborhood and a bit of noise at night, but it wasn't troublesome. I can only imagine the local hotels were much louder!!! I haven't stayed in lots of bed-and-breakfasts before, but this one far exceeds... More

I stayed here as part of a business trip visiting the University. The location of the Grant Street Inn is very convenient, as it is within walking distance of the University and many of the restaurants/shops on the main street. I stayed in the annex (the house next door) The rooms were on the small side but very comfortable. The... More

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Grant Street Inn. The room was comfortable, huge, and spotless. Other than low water pressure, everything was perfect - two wonderful nights' sleep, cookies or chocolates put out before bedtime, and complimentary internet were helpful on a business trip, the location is great, and the breakfast options were ample, delicious, and served... Stayed here five years ago - prices have gone up considerably (but they have everywhere) - we paid $179 for a small queen room (#34). Bathroom with toilet and good shower, excellent toiletries. Sink in room, along with a rack to hang clothes on (requested and got additional hangars, there was no chest of drawers). The bed is 4-poster, very... More

I was so pleasantly surprised when I checked into my beautiful room with the queen size poster bed and fireplace. Super friendly staff, great location- walking distance to wonderful restaurants and campus. (Only teensy complaint is that the walls are thin and I could here my neighbor snoring.) Would gladly stay here again.

This B&B has lots of charm and is furnished with antiques and antique reproductions. It's surprisingly noisy, given its location on a quiet street. There's a computer in the lobby for printing out your boarding pass, and coffee and tea in the lobby. Skip the included breakfast.

This was our first experience with a B&B. What a wonderful introduction! Location is wonderful for exploring/walking Bloomington. The rooms are beautifully decorated- we had the suite which we loved! Staff is friendly and makes you feel like you are at home, without being intrusive. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. This B&B has a lot of little extras that add... More

My wife and I went to the Grant Street Inn for our tenth anniversary (We're IU grads). We had stayed at the inn several times before with few complaints. However, this time, it was much different. First of all - avoid room 33 at all costs. It is both on the street and next to the kitchen, so you have... More

We take all reviews of our Inn, very seriously, both positive and negative. Negative reveiws are what helps us make things better. The wing of the Inn, including Room 33, does sit street side and has a wrap around porch. To my knowledge, we have never had a homeless individual on our porches, however, due to our close proximity to... More
