For three years my family has gathered at the microtel for "mini" familly reunion. We are always greated by friendly people at the front desk and in the dining room. Great view of the river, but both our rooms smelled really weird. The elevator also smelled very strange. The entire aura of this place was bad, I pulled up to a hotel surrounded by scruffy looking men smoking. And they smoked out there for hours. The parking lot is a disaster. The halls stink. The room itself was okay, but I am sure I saw mouse turds in the bathroom ... main floor room. I could not sleep... More

On the surface this place is clean but after awhile you start to notice small things left behind by the vacuum, raveling carpet, a sour smell in the hall--although not in our room. The beds are comfortable, Internet connection weak, breakfast indifferent. The price is good and the personel friendly. Next year we're going to look elsewhere. More

The hotel itself was nice. The walls are very thin. Some fine touch ups need to be done to paint, etc and it would spruce the rooms up considerably. The standard queen is very very small, but for the price with our Farm Bureau Discount it was unbeatable. The beds were average comfort. More
