This hotel has the perfect location for Starved Rock or for Lassalle Speedway. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was fair and employees were friendly. The only thing that could have been better was that we stayed 2 nights and our soap and shampoo were not restocked. Other than that it was a great weekend.

Nice hotel with good ameneties. Never seen this good of a breakfast in a Hotel so reasonably priced. Breakfast consists of regular pastaries, toast, yougurt, 4 different kind of juices, 4 different type of cereals, waffle iron, freshly cooked eggs, bacon and sausages. This BW sits adjacent to I-39 and just south of I-80 for convenient access. This is very conveniently located to nearby Starved Rock State Park. This 2-story BW seemed a little bit older. It had a covered drive-thru, but there were 2 manual, single-entry doors that you had to go through when entering or exiting--a sign of an older hotel.... More

We were exploring the Starved Rock/Mathieson State Park area and decided that Oglesby was central to the things we were interested in seeing. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and had ample options. The value for the price was outstanding. I will consider other Best Western hotels based on this stay.
