Never a fan of the Best Western chain in general. When this hotel was first opened, it was probably nice. Now many years later, it's incredibly tired, worn, outdated, peeling paint, chipped furniture, and worn-out carpet. The room rate is silly for this calibur -- it's a $59 room, not a $99 room! Only a pool -- out of order, of course -- and no hot tub. And the "free breakfast" -- what a joke!!!... More

This hotel needs updated. A bit worn, could be spruced up. Beds were alright, pillows are not. Bring your own ! Internet was horrid. Manager was rude. Nice place, clean, convenient, safe. This is one of the nicest Best Westerns I have ever stayed in. The rooms are spacious, and the WiFi worked perfectly. We will definitely stay here again. More

Had to run the water in the tub for ten minutes to clear the gunk that came out. We stay in Morton a few times a year for family visits, this was our first time to try the Best Western. The lobby area was fine, quite large and bare. The clerk was having problems with their registration system but did find our reservation and checked us manually so we didn't have to wait. We stayed at this hotel for a wedding in Morton. We were very impressed. One of our favorite parts was the free breakfast buffet that included eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, and a little bit of everything. Yum! The staff was nice and the place seemed updated and very clean. More

I have reluctantly stayed at the Ashland House 4 times while visiting the East Peoria in-laws, simply because it's (relatively) new and conveniently located, but I'll never do it again. The place is dreary and depressing, with bad lighting and Motel 6 linens. The toilet seat might be so loose it slips off, or maybe the shower will emit a high-pitched scream.
